Peter Katzman has worked on a variety of complex corporate transactions and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Katzman has strived to develop both his transaction and litigation practices, providing him a uniquely broad skillset. Mr. Katzman also serves as a registered FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator.
On the corporate side, Mr. Katzman has negotiated and closed many traditional and structured financings, private and public securities offerings, M&A transactions and joint ventures. On the litigation side, Mr. Katzman has prepared motions, orders to show cause, pleadings, discovery materials and research memorandums. Mr. Katzman has argued before both state and federal courts, and has taken and defended depositions.
Prior to joining Song P.C., Mr. Katzman was an associate of Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP, where his practice areas included both commercial transactions and commercial/bankruptcy litigation.
Mr. Katzman graduated from Boston University cum laude where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in economics. He received his law degree cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
Mr. Katzman is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
